Role Summary
Healthcare Recruitment UK are exclusively partnering with a reputable & quality focused Care Home group in their search for an experienced Qualified Nurse Deputy Home Manager to assist with the opening & commissioning efforts of their new 74 bedded luxury nursing home based in Warrington.

Upon completion, the home will be a state of the art, 5* purpose built facility – It will be split over two floors and will specialise in the provision of high quality general nursing & dementia care. The home is currently under construction and is due to open in August 2017.

As Deputy Manager your role will be to support the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the home; you will lead a clinical team and be responsible for ensuring the whole facility operates effectively and delivers the very best quality of care towards its residents.

During the commissioning period, you will play a key role in the promotion & marketing of the service and be required to establish positive links with the local community. You will also have the opportunity to recruit & build your own high performing team from scratch.

The ideal candidate will be a strong proven leader with the passion and commitment to achieve the highest standards of care excellence & operational efficiency.

Role Responsibilities:

Ensure the delivery of quality care – continually assessing the residents’ needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
Assist the Manager in actively ensuring the home has the highest possible levels of occupancy – utilising links with the local community, positively marketing the home and increasing public awareness of the service.
Take on partial accountability for the home – ensuring compliance with all company policies and CQC regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
Take on an active leadership role – you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty-four hour business.
Developing your people – you will have the opportunity to build your team, by recruiting and developing the right people to grow your business and through supporting their career development.
Ensure the on-going safety of residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes
Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used
Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice

Applicant Requirements:

As this is a Nursing Home applicants must hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have a legal right to work in the UK.
Have experience working within a care home setting acting as a Deputy/Assistant Home Manager
Strong leadership and management qualities are essential, as is a dynamic and flexible approach to the role.
Successful candidates must have a sound understanding of the CQC’s standards of practice alongside an up-to-date knowledge of all other relevant legislation.
Demonstrate excellent commercial awareness and business acumen alongside the ability to lead by example, act decisively.
